Music has given voice to our Beth El congregation throughout our illustrious history. From the beautiful liturgical melodies of our participatory services to the celebrated musical programs throughout the year, it is an integral part of who we are.
When it comes to music at Beth El there are many ways to engage.
Check out our Listening tab to hear a diverse array of Jewish music, and explore some curated playlists put together by Hazzan Jacob Sandler. There’s sure to be something inspiring for everyone!
Click on our Events tab to stay up to date on our upcoming programs, and relive the memories from some of our recent concerts! We’re so fortunate here at Beth El to be visited by some truly incredible performers from across North America and Israel. We are also blessed to be part of a uniquely collaborative community of Hazzanim, Cantorial Soloists, Songleaders and Musicians here in Chicagoland.
And of course, we at Beth El want YOU to be a part of the music-making! Take a look through our Ensembles tab and find a group that’s right for you. If you’re really into prayer-music, consider our Rinat Shabbat Davening Team. Just want to sing? Let’s form a community choir. Play an instrument? Let’s jam and start a band. And if you don’t see the group you’re looking for contact Hazzan Sandler, jsandler@nssbethel.org. Im tirtzu, ein zo aggadah – if you will it, it is no dream.
