The Art of Illustration

In celebration of Tu B’Shevat, artist, author and illustrator Martin Lemelman met with the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th grade Religious School students to talk about his new book The Miracle Seed, the true story of the ancient Judean date palm that was brought back from extinction by two female Israeli scientists. Original artwork from four of his books – The Tattooed Torah, The Miracle Seed, Two Cents Plain and Mendel’s Daughter – was on display in our Rissman Kol Ami Museum. Martin Lemelman also delivered a presentation for the community on January 24.
