Over 50 people gathered in the Rissman Kol Ami Museum to view the photo exhibit, Then and Now: 10 Decades of Jewish Community in West Rogers Park, sponsored by the Jewish Neighborhood Development Council of Chicago. Participants also had the opportunity to view the short documentary, Driving West Rogers Park. Ellen Doppelt, JNDC Executive Director, and Beverly Siegel, JNDC President, spoke about what makes West Rogers Park unique and the work of the Development Council, and Beth El members Ira Rosenberg, Drina Nadler, and Stuart Hochwert shared their memories of growing up in the neighborhood. Plus, Chocolate Egg Cream Sodas and Chocolate Phosphates were served along with treats from North Shore Kosher Bakery.
