North Suburban Synagogue Beth El has recently acquired four (4) iRover interactive roving panels which meet the needs of teachers and students alike by creating a unique technological and traditional learning environment. In addition, throughout our building we have available twenty (20) iPads, four (4) Apple TVs, three (3) Smartboards, and a fully-equipped computer lab.
These innovations, due to a generous donation, enhance our students’ learning experience as they blend new technology with our ancient traditions.
Comments from SHHS teachers include:
“In my classes we watch a variety of videos (shows, news reporting, commercials and music). These videos help to visualize the Israeli experience for the students, to make it more real and tangible. Additionally, I encourage my students to use tools such as online dictionaries and the different Jewish websites for self research. Hopefully these sources will support future independent learning.” – Hadar Markin
“Technology has a leading role in our classroom. We use it to explore potential repertoire and also to support our practice sessions.” – Tamar Berman
