So proud of our members for coming together to support this year’s Thanksgiving Mitzvah Day in bigger numbers than ever before. We asked, and you gave! Over 130 members or member families signed up to bring between 1 and 10 baskets! Our total of 194 baskets EXCEEDED our goal of 175. There were also over $4,000 in donated funds that will be shared with recipients in need this Thanksgiving. A special Thanks to the Anna Besser and the Cohen Religious School for making kits for families to help enhance their tables and keep young ones busy. Placemats, napkin rings, coasters, coloring books and crayons with cards decorated by students were a wonderful addition to this years baskets. Kol Hakavod to chairperson extraordinaire Fran Pine, with support from Terri Gordon, Pam Schlosberg, Janice Aranoff, and all of our hard working Social Action Committee members who came today to make baskets and schlepp boxes, baskets and bags inside and outside. Thanksgiving will be little brighter for many in our community thanks to this incredible effort.
