Mitzvah Day 2020

It was a very special Mitzvah Day indeed! Over 250 members of all ages came out to support local organizations in our community including EZRA, Moraine Township Food Pantry, Night Ministry, Linus Project, Hadassah, Shalva, US Troops, Brentwood Senior Center, Mathilde’s Mentionables and Mercaz. We even made soup kits for our clergy to take to Beth El members who are ill. Special thanks to our Mitzvah Day guest speakers: Karen Rubin Nochimowski from Momma Chef’s Soup Kitchen, Congregant Katy Silvers who adopted children from Ethiopia, Mike Marion and Marlenny Gonzales from Waukegan-to- College. Yasher Koach to Mitzvah chairs Mary Channon, Pam Schlosberg and Jackie Kott-Wolle.
