On Thursday, February 22nd, the Men’s Club held its’ annual Caveman Dinner. The event was a huge success in every sense of the word. This event attracted a huge cross section of our community, from the 20-something single guy, to the 90-something great-grandfather of 8, and everybody in between. All those who attended were treated to Brontosaurs size ribs cooked by our very own past Presidents Aaron Krumbein and Jeffrey Goldsmith, with the assistance of Steve Coven. Our in-house catering, Circle of Life, spearheaded by Avram and Philip took care of everything else.
But the event was not only about guys getting together to have a great time eating and drinking – don’t worry there was plenty of that! These events are a chance for this group to give back to the community by giving Tzedakah. The generosity of our members allows us to help send students to summer camp, and Poland, support our music programs, and to learn about the holocaust, just to name a few. Our funds support Moat Chitim which helps feed the hungry in our community, and just recently we made a significant donation back to Beth El to upgrade our Wi-Fi system.
If you missed the event, we are sorry, we hope that you will attend out next event which is Men’s Club Shabbat weekend, March 16-18. Come to the dinner Friday, March 9th and the Shabbat service on March 10th and be treated to a fabulous Deli lunch or come to our Torah Study Sunday morning.
