The Ba’al Korei Institute

The Ba’al Korei Institute

The Ba’al Korei Institute is a Synagogue program whose mission is to encourage persons of all ages to learn to chant Torah and to regularly use that skill. The Institute accomplishes its mission by providing classes and mentors to help people learn and master Torah reading skills and by recognizing and rewarding those congregants who provide service to the congregation by regularly reading Torah. The Institute’s programs are funded through a gift made to the congregation’s Capital and Endowment Campaign and participation is free.

We now have a Webparsha site!  If you are a Torah reader (seasoned or just starting out), we invite you to sign up for a WebParasha account. Click on the link below.

You can take a look at available Torah readings (there are always shorter readings for those who prefer) and actually see the reading as a Tikkun page in pdf form. Once your account is approved, you can sign up for readings on your own (always subject to confirmation by Hazzan Barnett or Hazzan Tisser).
