Cartoonist Josh Gorfinkel presents: The Jewish Cartoon Workshop, a fun, structured program, where families – adults and students together – make Jewish-themed cartoons just as professionals do. And then these cartoons are collected into a comic book. NO DRAWING SKILL REQUIRED. All supplies provided. All 4th – 7th graders and their parents are welcome!

Using popular movie and TV clips, cartoonist Jordan Gorfinkel will reveal the secret identity of the original female superhero, and now star of her own graphic novel, The Koren Tanakh Esther Graphic Novel.

Using his background as an illustrator of Batman comics and a Jewish educator, Jordan Gorfinkel will run a hands-on workshop about graphic novel illustration, Jewish superheroes, and this moment in Jewish time. Dinner will be provided.

Visualizing the Megillah

Veteran Batman editor and cartoonist Jordan Gorfinkel will guide us through visualizing the story of Queen Esther. Each participant will create their own cartoon depicting a scene of the story which will be collected and shared on Purim. Everyone can do this – NO DRAWING SKILLS NECESSARY.
