Afternoon @ the Movies – Itzhak

Posted on March 1, 2019

Over 75 people enjoyed the Grammy nominated documentary Itzhak at Afternoon @ the Movies on Thursday, February 28, co-sponsored by the Joseph and Mae Gray Cultural & Learning Center, the Beth El Sisterhood, and the Hazak Senior Life Committee. After the movie, we were treated to a lovely wine and cheese reception in the Library and a live violin performance by Miriam Friedman.  Our next Afternoon @ the Movies will be Thursday, April 4 featuring 93 Queen which follows Ruchie Freier, a no-nonsense Hasidic lawyer and mother of six who is determined to shake up the “boys club” in her Hasidic community by creating Ezras Nashim, the first all-female ambulance corps in New York City.
