BET & GIMMEL “WE READ” PROGRAM
“Three possessions should you prize: a field, a friend, and a book.”

All Bet (2nd) and Gimmel (3rd) families are encouraged to participate in our new reading program Anachnu Korim (“we read”) by reading 5 Jewish books during the school year and completing 5 simple book reports. Here’s what you need to do to win a prize:

Read a Jewish book from your home library or from the Pinsof Children’s Reading Room. Students can check out books from the Library with his/her class, or with a parent before or after Religious School. Students should read the book at home with an adult (parent, grandparent, or other book lover).

Complete the book report form and return it to your Religious School teacher. More forms are available from your teacher, in the Library, or can be printed from this PDF.

Make sure your teacher records your book on the classroom chart and hangs your report in the hallway.

Read 5 Jewish books and complete 5 book reports by APRIL 28, 2013 to win a prize. A awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

If you have any questions, contact your teacher, Rachel Kamin, CLC Director, at rkamin@nssbethel.org or 847/432-8903 x242, or Alicia Gejman, Director of Formal Education, at agejman@nssbethel.org or 847/432-8537.
